Never let anybody tell you who you are supposed to be. The strongest power in this world is love, and everybody on this planet has a right to love whoever they want to love! How can a simple right like this become a struggle in this world? How an people have issues with love? Many of us have privileges because of where we are born, not because we "think" we created this world around us. We are all equal to love who we want to love.
